What is Family Day Care?
Family Day Care is an approved form of childcare that is provided in the family day care educators own home. Family day care educators are early childhood education and care professionals, registered with a family day care service that is responsible for approving, supporting, training and advising its educators. Foundations Family Day Care Service is a flexible and friendly service that accommodates to you and your child/rens need from full time care, part time care, before and after school care, school holiday care, weekend care to assist you with your shift work.
How is it similar to other forms of Child Care?
- Our educators have been approved by Foundations Family Day Care Service and operate out of their own assessed and approved residence
- They work with small groups of no more than four children under school age and may also educate and care for an additional 3 more children (7 children in total including their own).
- Each educator works in partnership with an approved service (Foundations Family Dare Care Service) who provides support and regular visits to monitor the children’s progress and care.
- Each family day care educator can create their own unique learning environment and program plan.
- Their service can offer options including full or part-time care, outside school hour’s care, evening and weekend care
